Friends had invited me to attend an “authentic” Oktoberfest, so I obliged and agreed to paying the 1.5 million VND ($75 USD) entrance fee, which included all night German buffet and beer.
The largest Oktoberfest celebration in Vietnam held every year since 1992, this year’s event was held at the Hotel Nikko Saigon, one of the most fashionable hotels in the city.
The event is held on several evenings, starting on Wednesday or Thursday and ending on Saturday. Entertainment includes a band, German music, and lots of catchy sing-alongs to get the crowd revved up.
Overall, I thought it was a very fun event everyone should experience once in his/her lifetime. The evening is definitely catered toward dancing, laughing, and having a crazy good time.
